This scene opens with Ivy being scolded by her Miss Barker, leather strap in hand. Ivy has been excluded from school yet again, for an entire week for fighting this time. Miss is determined to put a stop to her undisciplined behavior before she is altogether expelled from school. She grabs a straight backed chair and wastes little time putting Ivy across her knee for a thrashing. After some firm smacks on her backside, Ivy is made to stand up and lower her knickers.
